On March 26, 2024, board members met with a group of existing donors to explore how the Foundation might improve its recruitment and retention of donors.

For example:

• Create signage that recipients might use at their offices, websites, and elsewhere.
• Advise potential donors that monthly donations are welcomed, and that no amount is too small.
• Make presentations to Airdrie and area’s major employers. The board has begun implementing some of the recommendations, while others will be developed in coming months.

Foundation Chair Dale Rathgeber said, “We really appreciate how our donors and friends of the Foundation took time out from their busy schedules to help us grow. Thanks to their ideas, we expect our permanent fund to grow even more quickly, and as it does, we can provide more grants to more charitable organizations.”
